Minnehaha Waterfall in Minneapolis, Minnesota is a relatively small waterfall named after the fiction Native American Princess Minnehaha who was a central character in the Song of Hiawatha, a poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, an American Victorian Poet in 1855. There is no evidence that Longfellow actually ever saw the Waterfall, except in an early photograph.
